Treasure Time Programs
Story Hour
Mrs. Treasure comes in costume and reads a selected picture book. She sings songs with a guitar and encourages audience participation in games and hands-on art projects. Usually, programs end with dancing.
Drama Programs
This dramatic experience is about having an opportuniy to put on a play from beginning to end. Children choose a picture book and help to write a musical play. They are involved in the process of creating scenery and props and designing costumes. The culmination of this 8 week session is a performance for family and friends, and sometimes a cable TV show.
Music for Young Children
Mrs. Treasure pays the guitar, leads children in simple games and songs, and works with musical instruments. Working with toddlers and children under 2 years of age is a specialty for which Lee Drescher has trained with “Music Together”. It is truly amazing how little ones can absorb and express music by just being there.
