Christmas Stocking is about a poor girl in a coal mining town whose mother got sick and died, but when she was alive, she knit beautiful stockings. Two days before Christmas, a rich lady from the town orders 3 pairs of stockings to be delivered on Christmas Eve. Claire knits furiously, and barely finishes in time to bring the stockings up the hill to the lady’s mansion. But on her journey, she encounters a poor waif who needs the stockings more, and she gives all of them away except for one.
